Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club Dana Point, Dana Point

My stay at the hotel was fantastic and unforgettable. The rooms are quite large with well-appointed furniture, comfortable beds, and balcony access, making them really clean and comfortable. On the downside, the empty mini-bar was disappointing, and the patio was dirty with trash from previous guests.

The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with all the essentials for a romantic evening, cleaned daily to a high standard. The service was wonderful, with personal touches like birthday wishes and gracious responses. The location is exceptional, albeit some ongoing renovations. Dining options vary in quality, with overpriced and bland choices alongside good options like lunch at the private beach house.

The hotel presented lovely gardens with the main restaurant and a beautiful balcony; however, the room fell short of expectations based on the photos shown. I would not recommend this property.

The hotel is currently undergoing a full renovation which affected our stay negatively, as the view from our room was disrupted by construction materials and trucks right outside. On the positive side, the location offers beautiful surroundings to walk around, and the complimentary champagne cocktail hour was a nice touch.

I felt right at home in this hotel, with spacious rooms featuring plenty of drawers and shelves. The furniture was well-appointed, the beds were comfy, and having balcony access was a huge plus. However, the presence of construction materials outside our window was a minor inconvenience.
